Theo played for Minas/Brasilia in the first years of his career. He was transferred to Minas Tenis Clube in 2002 and finished 12th in the Superliga. In 2004/05, playing for Ulbra, he came fifth. For the same team, he finished third in 2006/07. He then moved to Cimed and won the Superliga in 2008/09. With the national team, Theo won the World Grand Champions Cup in 2009, the World League in 2010 and the World Championship in 2010. He now plays for Japanese club Santory Sunbirds.
