In 2003, Bruno Rezende joined Brazil club Unisul (SC), and two years later was called up to the junior national team, where he helped them place second in the FIVB Men's Junior World Championship in 2005. In the same season, he was champion of the Liga Nacional, the Brazilian Championship B, and won the Superliga 05/06, the Brazilian Championship. He was the best setter of this competition. In the following season, he was second placed in Superliga playing for Cimed (SC), his current team, and one was best setter again. In 2007, he participated in his first World League, where Brazil won their seventh title, he was champion at the Pan-American Games, second place in the America’s Cup, and he won the South American Championship and the FIVB Volleyball World Cup. In 2008, he was runner-up at the Beijing Olympic Games and in America’s Cup. In 2009 Bruno led the Brazilian team that won the World League and the World Grand Champions Cup. He started the 2010 season winning the title of the World League and finished the season in the top of the podium as well, celebrating his first World Championship gold medal.
