Outside hitter Jayson Jablonsky (Yorba Linda, Calif.) joined the U.S. Men’s National Team in 2008 after leading his collegiate team at UC Irvine to the NCAA National Championship in 2007. He was named to the All-Tournament Team and was a second team AVCA All-American pick.
Jablonsky was an alternate on the 2008 Olympic Team and was a member of the team that won the gold medal at the Pan American Cup. Jablonsky was on the U.S. Junior Men’s National Team in 2004-05 and was a member of the U.S. Team that won the bronze medal at the 2007 World University Games. He has played overseas in Puerto Rico and Italy.
Jablonsky was born in 1985 in Orange, Calif. His parents are Paul and Betty Jablonsky and he has two older siblings, Matt and Heather. Jablonsky studied criminology at UC Irvine. Sushi is his favorite food. J.R.R. Tolkien's "Lord of the Rings" is his favorite book.
