Belgrade, Serbia, July 26, 2009 – For the first time ever, the FIVB has posted videos of press conferences on its website. Fans can watch them in typical “YouTube style” in the Match Info section on the World League subpage, together with the usual text reports of the press conferences.
The videos are posted by Andrea Zorzi, who is blogging his “Follow Me” project for the third World League season in a row.
“The blog is a project developed together with the Communication Department of the FIVB that started with the 2007 World League Final Round in Poland,” said the former Italian World Champion Zorzi, surely the tallest journalist in the press seats in Belgrade. “We have a number of video interviews available online from the sidelines of the World Grand Prix, World Cup and Olympic Games as well.”
“Here in Belgrade we decided to welcome the requests of many fans and media who were asking for more backstage images,” said FIVB Communication Director Fabrizio Rossini. “The press conferences after each match were a forbidden zone before, in a certain way an exclusive media club… The FIVB is now opening its doors. The professional translation we have here in Serbia allowed us to exploit this new project.”
