Finland's captain Jukka Lehtonen: "Russia were altogether much better than us. In the first set until 20 points we could play in the same level with them. Then some mistakes in side outs cost the set for us. After that Russia served us out of the play."
Russia's captain Alexey Kazakov: "The first set was difficult but after that it was a lot of easier. It looked like Finland were a bit tired after their travelling from USA."
Finland's coach Mauro Berruto: "We saw today three different matches by us. First part was the first set until our lead 19-16. Losing from there saw the whole atmosphere change. Second part was the lesson: if you give a chance to a team like Russia, they will kill you. Third part was awful, we had a miserable attack rate, it gave Russia seven more block points."
Russia's coach Daniele Bagnoli: "We had some changes in reception line-up. I was curious to see young Dmitri Krasikov play. Actually he made it good."
