Brazilian coach Bernardo Rezende relieved after win in Rotterdam

Giba rolls over the floor after another hit of Niels Klapwijk
Brazil's coach Bernardo Rezende: “I feel relieved! Thanks to our experience at this level, we managed to repair the damage in the third set. We feel a lot of pressure with quite a new team. Giba is important in building this new Brazilian squad.”

The Netherlands' coach Peter Blangé: “Viewing the result of this match, we are disappointed. It was a match with two faces, the difference in the opening set was too big. But in the second and third sets, everything fitted on our side. In the fourth set, we didn’t have an answer to the fierce attacks. On top of that, we made too many service errors. We still have a lot of work to do.”

Brazil's captain Giba: “As soon as we were able to control the fierce attacks of Niels Klapwijk, we took back the control of this match.”

The Netherlands' captain Rob Bontje: “It was a pleasure to play for this crowd. Today was comparable to the matches we played in Brazil.”
