Germany's coach Raúl Lozano says: "Cuba deserves the victory"

Björn Andrae, Germany's captain: "The game was enormously exciting until the last point. There were many ups and downs and therefore our feelings are mixed up. We are happy that we were able to close the gaps to Cuba, but I am also disappointed that we lost the match."

Raul Lozano, Germany's head coach: "Cuba deserved to win this match, because they played well in the important situations. This match was better than the ones in Cuba, but we are able to and have to play on a higher level. We especially have to improve our services but also our attack and defence."

Robertlandy Simon, Cuba's captain: The game was really long and both teams wanted to win, because the match is very important for the qualification for the Final Round. We made too many errors in the services, nevertheless so far this was the best our matches during the World League."

Orlando Samuels Blackwood, Cuba's head coach: "This match was really good. Like the Germans we also had to use player that have not played before. Therefore we had our ups and downs but our services were great and we played a good match."
