U.S. Captain Reid Priddy saya: 'You can't give Egypt opportunities''

The United States' David Lee (4) and Clay Stanley (13) block against Egypt's Mohamed Badawy
Egypt captain Saleh Youssef: “The American team played very well. They have a great system.  In the third set we didn’t make a lot of mistakes like we did in the first two. “

U.S. captain William “Reid” Priddy: “We started (the third set) with two unforced errors. That gave Egypt the opportunity to play its game. Egypt is a good team and came to play. You can’t give them opportunities.”

Egypt coach Antonio Giacobbe: “Volleyball is not just technical, it is mental. Our minds were not prepared to play a team like the USA. We need to play more matches against teams like the United States because it is such great experience.”

U.S. coach Alan Knipe: “I don’t know what’s wrong with (setter Donald) Suxho. I hope it’s just a calf strain. But we need to do a better job responding to changes like that. It took us too long to get back into rhythm. You don’t want to give a team as talented as Egypt any opportunities.”
