Giba: “I am here to help the way I can”

Captain Giba talks during the press conference

Dutch captain Rob Bontje: “We were not able to repeat Saturday’s performance. We got close to it in the second set, but could not keep it to third and fourth partials as well. We will now wait for the matches in our country to try to defeat Brazil again”.

Brazilian captain Giba: “I was in court to guide our youngest players. That was my function. They are very well physically and are always ready to listen to me, Dante, Rodrigao and Sergio, who are the oldest players of the group. I am here to help the way I can”.

Dutch head coach Peter Blangé: “Congratulations to Brazil, which played a really good match today. They played better and deserved to win the match. We made several mistakes in serving and had trouble in spiking as well”.

Brazilian head coach Bernardo Rezende: “We were more attentive today. The team had good moments and showed that Brazil can fight for the World League title again. Giba is a leader to our group and his entrance reflected in the team’s behavior”.
