Peter Blangé: "Serving well was key for our win"

Captains and coaches during the press conference

Brazil captain Giba: "It is really tough playing against a team which served and dig like the Dutch did. They were also very effective in the counter-attacks and that was important. Now we know the way they play and will be better prepared for the second match".

Brazil coach Bernardo Rezende: "It was our third match of the season and we paid the price for the lack of rhythm. We still have a lot to improve. The Netherlands played really well, but we had opportunities to win the first and third sets and did not make it".

Dutch captain Rob Bontje: "I am very satisfied with our performance because defeating a strong team like Brazil 3-0 in their house is an amazing result. They have three or four players who can win a match on their own. Now we have to be attentive for the second match as they will certainly be more aggressive than today".

Dutch coach Peter Blangé: "It was a great experience for our team defeating Brazil. I have complimented all the players as they did exactly what we talked. Serving well was the key for our win".
