Javier Weber, Argentine coach: "Argentina had a good output, especially with their spiking. We were down 20 per cent in reception. I did not like the team’s performance. We must keep working and we hope to be in better shape for the second match."
Rodrigo Quiroga, Argentine captain: "We did not play well and Poland showed their superiority in blocking. That was the key for Poland victory and our defeat. The rest of the match was level."
Daniel Castellani, Polish coach: "We worked to change what happened in Germany and we trained very hard during this week. Argentina did not play as well as they know and we are aware that tomorrow will be a completely different match."
Grzegorz Lomacz, Polish Setter: "We came here to win and we fulfilled it. We played well, especially in the block. We will not stop and tomorrow we want to repeat the victory".
Guillermo García, Argentine player: "Poland did a good job in the first two sets and made also good use of our own mistakes. In the third set we stepped onto the field with a different attitude but in the fourth we could not maintain it. For tomorrow, we must play with the same attitude as on the third set to level the series".
Federico Pereyra, Argentine player: "We made too many mistakes serving and we could not rotate as planned. We also placed too many balls on the heights. We must consider that we are facing the European Champion but tomorrow we have a new chance and we want revenge”.
