Uberlandia, Brazil, June 5 – Reigning FIVB World League champions Brazil beat Bulgaria 3-2 (24-26, 25-19, 25-15, 22-25, 15-9) in a thrilling encounter on Saturday in Uberlandia to achieve its second win on the first weekend of the Intercontinental Round.
Brazilian wing-spiker Murilo Endres added to a sound performance on Friday night scoring 18 points while Bulgarian wing-spiker Todor Aleksiev scored 16 points.

The second straight win means Brazil leads Pool A with five points as the Netherlands trail with three following their Friday night victory over Korea in Seoul.
Brazil wing-spiker and captain Giba started his first 2010 World League match as both teams saw a marked improvement on the first match in the opening set which Brazil picked up.
Bulgaria began the second set well before Brazil found its rhythm to win the set however Bulgaria stole the third in a tense battle which saw Brazil star Lucas leave the court with an injury.
Leandro Vissotto helped lead the home side in the fourth set but despite a passionate effort Bulgaria fought back to even the game.
However Brazil dug deep to overcome the visitors in the final set.
Brazil host the Netherlands in their next FIVB World League match in Brasilia while Bulgaria travel to Incheon to face Korea.
