Catamarca, Argentina, June 20, 2010 – Germany finished the third weekend of the 2010 FIVB World League by upsetting Argentina 3-1 (34-32, 25-18, 19-25, 30-28) in a sensational match in Catamarca on Sunday.
Georg Grozer was the best player for the visitors scoring 24 points as Garcia Guillermo topped the points for the home side with 14.
The hosts started the first set strongly but after the first TTO the visiting team reacted to level the scores before Germany pulled ahead to take the set.
The second set saw a good fight from both teams until the visitors took advantage of their good timing and pulled ahead with a 0-2 lead in the match.
Argentina took full advantage of a number of German errors in the third to pull a set back before succumbing to the loss in the fourth, handing Germany their second win of the weekend.
Argentina now travel to Europe to face Poland before playing Germany while Germany return home to welcome Cuba.
