Formosa, Argentina, July 9, 2010 - Argentina will have one more chance to adjust their playing for the Final Round as the next stage of the tournament draws closer. In Formosa, at a state-of-the-art renewed Cincuentenario Stadium, Argentina's men's team, coached by Javier Weber, will play its second home match against Cuba this at 9:10pm local time, live on ESPN+, closing the sixth weekend of the FIVB World League Intercontinental Round.
While Cuba secured their place for the Final Round prior to Thursday match with the point lost by Germany playing against Poland in Katowice, Argentina were very close to their first victory in this year’s edition of the FIVB World League. They were defeated in a tie-breaker, the third 3-2 of this competition and one more point for Argentina's men's team.
For Weber, the ideal level is not far but some adjustments are needed. Also he accepted that Cuba did not give Argentina any chances. “They made good use of all our mistakes” he added.
It will be then the closing match prior to the Final Round that will take place at Orfeo Superdomo in Cordoba, starting July 21. And it falls on a very special Argentine date: the country celebrates its independence and therefore both anthems will be played completely in a great framework for the farewell of the 2010 FIVB World League in Formosa.
