Cairo, Egypt, July 7, 2010 - Egypt will meet Finland for the second time in 24 hours on the sixth and final weekend of the intercontinental round of the 2010 FIVB World League at Cairo stadium on Thursday.
After a painful loss against Finland in straight sets, the Egyptian players and their coach will set together to discuss the match and try to give another face tomorrow.
“We committed a lot of mistakes in defence and block although we hope to achieve a win against Finland. We will sit together with the coach to handle with these mistakes,” the Egyptian captain said.
In the first match, Finland used their height to control the spiking and blocking during the match, while the Egyptian team continued to make various mistakes in reception and defence and lost the match because of their lack of consistency.
Egypt’s coach Intonio Giacobbe aims to give a chance to all his players during the World League matches as he puts the World Championship in Italy as his main goal.
Egypt have lost their setter Abdalla due to a knee injury and the 22-year old setter Hosaam Abdalla replaces him.
Finland's coach has asked his players to play a strong match tomorrow.
The match will start at 5pm GMT.
