China expect improvement at home

It will be the third time in this year's competition that Italy face China
Wuhan, China, June 30, 2010 — China will play their third home game of 2010 FIVB World League against Italy this Friday as the visitors continue to fight for a place in the Final Round.

China ended their European matches with their first victory, installing the team with more confidence. In previous matches in Luohe, though defeated, they still made great improvements. Additionally, the young team also accumulated a great deal of experience from the matches against Serbia, a team at the very top of the world.

"We are expecting further improvements in the following games, for we have already started to get familiar with the new court which is larger than the previous ones and many injured players are getting better," Jianan Zhou, coach of China said during a press conference. "I hope the Chinese national team could improve the level of technique and tactics and win the following matches."

"The following two matches are really important to us, though they maybe really difficult and tough, we will spare our full efforts to win." said Andrea Anastasi, coach of Italy.

The match kicks off at 7pm local time in Wuhan.
