Havana, Cuba, June 17, 2010 - Cuba coach Orlando Samuels hopes his side can make it five wins from five at home when Cuba and Poland play their opening match of the third weekend of the FIVB World League Intercontinental Round on Friday.

Orlando Samuels, Cuba coach, said his team will face Poland after being lucky enough to win the first four home games against Argentina and Germany. "We are sure we will find a stronger team than before. Poland is a very solid team. We must play better as well, as we continue to improve in each game, and hopefully in these two games there will be a lot of rivalry and a lot of dynamism and I expect a good performance. No doubt our athletes improve their quality daily and they must show that this weekend".

Daniel Castelani, coach of Poland, said he is very happy to be back in Cuba. "I've been several times and always, whenever I come, with the same pleasure. It is tough this time as I do not come with Argentina but with another team. Each weekend the Polish playing level is better. We did not start well for our level of play was not good, but from first to the second weekend we improved a little and we hope to do the same this Friday and Saturday. We only had two weeks to prepare before the start of the World League against Germany, so we were behind in the physical form and technique in those two defeats."

The Polish captain Piotr Gruszka said they can't wait for these games. “We know it will be very difficult. In this World League match we have the possibility to play again and try to win. We have prepared our best within our ability to face Cuba and try to maintain a good performance this weekend.”
