Argentina goes for its recovery in the second match vs. Poland

Another shot for Argentina against Poland in San Juan

San Juan, Argentina, June 11, 2010 - After the defeat by 1-3 vs. Poland (20-25, 21-25, 25-20, 20-25) in the first match at home of the 2010 FIVB World League, the Argentine Men Team will try to obtain its recovery on Saturday at 9:10 pm, live broadcast by ESPN+, trying to obtain the first victory in this year’s competition.  This second weekend of the Intercontinental Round is taking place at Aldo Cantoni Stadium in the city of San Juan.

"We must improve a lot our spiking so as not to crash against their blocking.  We always felt we could be nearer but we could not obtain good results and put pressure at decisive points, therefore we must work for Saturday’s match” expressed the Argentine Head Coach, Javier Weber.

Meanwhile, the Polish Head Coach, Daniel Castellani said: “The Saturday match will be very different because Argentina did not play to the level they are use to play.  We must improve some serving and spiking errors to try to obtain a new victory”.

With this victory Poland now stands 11-2 victories-loses against the Argentine National Men Team at the FIVB World League.  The South American Team could only defeat Poland in the two local matches, also played in San Juan, at the 2002 edition of the World League.
