Libero Alfredo (Alfee) Reft was born on Dec. 15, 1982 in Oxnard, Calif., where he also grew up. The University of Hawaii graduate joined the U.S. National Team in May 2006.
Reft (175 cm, 80 kg) finished the 2009 season with 11 digs in six sets (1.83 per set) and started one match for the National Team at the NORCECA Continental Championship where the team earned silver. He also started one match during the FIVB World League. He was also a member of the A2 Team that won gold at the Pan American Cup.
Reft played his 2009-2010 winter season for Benefica in Portugal.
During his play at the University of Hawaii, Reft was the only returner to play in all 102 games in 2005. He was also selected to both the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation and American Volleyball Coaches Association first teams as a libero.
In 2007, Alfee played in every match of the World University Games and was listed on the preliminary roster for the FIVB World League but did not see action. Alfee is single.
