22 year-old wing receiver (rather opposite), born in Walbrzych. He currently plays for multi-time champion PGE Skra Belchatów Polish club and is part of the Polish National Team. He is the son of former Volleyball player, Adam Kurek. They played together a few matches in the first Bartosz’s club AZS Nysa. On the 3rd of February 2010 he signed a contract with Skra, valid till the year 2014. He was 2009 European Champion. He received several awards: Best Spiker of the 2005 Youth European Championships; Best Scorer of the 2009 Club World Championships; Best European Receiver according to the French “L’Equipe” sport newspaper (chosen amongst the best 6 of the year 2009); Discovery of the Year 2009 in Polish Volleyball League.
