The 26 year-old opposite, who was born on Wielun, is actually perceived as the best spiker in Poland. He has not only a powerful attack but a huge serve and a very good dig too. He is considered as a last hope of success to the team he is playing for, even if everything seems to go wrong on the court. He knows how to change the run of the match. Wlazly played the main part during the battles for the all six Polish Champion titles won by his club PGE Skra Belchatow (2005-10). During the last season, he was the captain of his team. His biggest achievement as a representative of Poland was a silver medal won at the World Championship in Japan in 2006, where he was amongst  the three best spikers of the tournament. Mariusz is married to Paulina, who also plays Volleyball and they have a son, Arkadiusz. Mariusz is an active participant of particular social and charity events.
