32 year-old setter, born in Jaslo. Since 1996, he has been playing in the Polish National Team. His career started in MKS MDK Warsaw. Later he played with the Warsaw’s Politechnika. Zagumny began his professional career in 1995 in Czarni Radom, but he joined Morze Szczecin after two seasons. In 2000, Zagumny left to Italy in order to represent for 3 years Serie A1 club Edilbasso Padwa. From 2003 to2008 he played with AZS Olsztyn. He is currently playing with Greek Club Panathinaikos Athens, but next season he will come back to Poland and play for ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle. In 1996, Pawel together with the Polish National Team represented the country during the Olympic Games in Atlanta. He was a reserve player. Furthermore, he also participated in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and 2008 in Beijing. During the 2006 men's World Championships, he won the silver medal. He was voted Best Setter of the 2006 World Championships and 2009 European Championships (he was a captain of the successful Polish team). He is the son of former setter Lech Zagumny, coach and teacher of many generations of young Volleyball players. He is married to Olivia, their daughter Victoria was born in 2004 and their son Nicolas in 2010.
