24-year old middle-blocker Lucas played in the Brazilian Superliga for the first time six years ago. With Ulbra (RS), he got the fifth place in 04/05, the eighth in 05/06 and the third in 06/07. Defending the national side, he finished second  in the 2005 FIVB Junior World Championship and won the FIVB World League twice (2006 and 2007), in addition to a second place at the America’s Cup. The last two seasons, he won the Brazilian Superliga playing for Cimed (SC). With the national team, Lucas won the FIVB World League, the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup and the South American Championship in 2009.
