Eder was Youth World Champion in 2001, and won the Junior South American Championship the following year. He finished second at the 2003 FIVB Junior World Championship, with the Junior Brazilian national team. Playing at Cimed (SC), he won the Liga Nacional, in 2005, and the Superliga 05/06 (elected best blocker), 07/08 and 08/09. In 2007, he participated in the FIVB World League, when Brazil won their seventh title, and he got the second place at the America’s Cup, the same position achieved by the team in the following season. In 2009, Eder helped Brazil collect the gold medal in all three big tournaments of the season: the FIVB World League, the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup and the South American Championship.
