The opposite Leandro is used to wear the Brazilian National uniform since his youth. In 2000, he was Youth South American Champion. Later, he got two World titles with the national team(Youth and Junior). Playing for Unisul/Cimed, he won the São Paulo State Championship, the Visa Cup and two tittles of Santa Catarina State Championship. In 05/06, he clinched the silver medal at the Brazilian Superliga for Telemig Celular/Minas. In 2008, he took part of Brazil's national team that captured the silver medal at the America’s Cup. In the following season, he played as regular in the FIVB World League, the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup and the South American Championship. With the Italian club of Trentino, Leandro also won the FIVB World Clubs Championship.
