In the FIVB World League, Rodrigão won seven titles (2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2009), a silver medal (2002), and a bronze medal (2000). He played in the team that won the FIVB World Cup in 2003. In 2004, he won the gold medal at the Olympic Games in Athens, and in the next Olympic Games, in Beijing, he returned home with a silver medal. He was Youth and Junior South American champion in 1996. In the last season, he played for Macerata, Italy. He won two world titles in 2002 and 2006. In 2007, he won the FIVB World Cup, the Pan-American Games, and the South American Championship in Chile, where he was elected best attacker. In 2008, Rodrigao recovered from a knee injury and finished second at the America’s Cup. He also participated in Brazil’s win in the FIVB World Grand Champions Cup 2009. He is currently a player of Pinheiros/Sky.
