Dante has an impressive palmares with five South American Championship titles (1999, 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2007) and six World League gold medals (2001, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006 and 2007). He played three Olympics Games, finishing sixth in Sydney in 2000, first in Athens in2004, and second in Beijing in 2008. He won two America’s Cup titles, in 1999 and 2001, and the 2003 FIVB World Cup. When he played with the Junior national side, he was South American Champ. Last season, he played for Panathinaikos, Greece. He won two World titles, in 2002, in Argentina, and in 2006, in Japan. In 2007, he collected gold medals at the South American Championship, and Pan-American Games. He closed up this successful year with a gold medal at the FIVB World Cup. In 2008, he was chosen best spiker of the FIVB World League. After a quick return to Brazil to defend Brasil Vôlei Clube, the spiker moved back to Russian Dinamo Moscow.
