The 2009 season saw him grow as the Captain of this new era of the Argentina men's National Team. He was on the court for almost every match of the last season, proving game after game his skills not only as a team leader, but also as an outstanding wing spiker. Those same skills earned him a place in one of the most competitive leagues in the entire world: the A1 Italian Series. He wore the shirt of Vibo Valentia team coached by the previous coach of the Argentina men's National Team (Jon Uriarte), and Kale Volleyball in Iran.
