Philippe Blain: I waited a long time for the victory to come

France coach Philippe Blain recovered his smile on Sunday

Argentina Head coach Javier Weber: "In the first two sets it was not a high level match with too many mistakes. In the fifth set, France was more aggressive to secure its victory."

French head coach Philippe Blain: "In this match France were up and down but I’m very satisfied with the fifth set. I waited a long time for the final victory to come. Maybe we could have wrapped up the victory in three sets, but I'm satisfied with 2 points tonight. Before next week-end facing Korea, it's a good feeling. Compared to Friday in Lyon, we won so it's a big difference."

French Captain Marien Moreau: "We really needed a victory. We wanted to take 3 points but with 2, it's still good. We played well during the first two sets but Argentina then recovered their fighting spirit."

Argentina Captain Daniel Quiroga Rodrigo: "In my mind, it was a game of two halves. France played better on defense."
