Netherlands Head coach Peter Blangé: "First of all I want to congratulate the USA on their victory. They played much better than yesterday and our service in the first, third and last set was not good enough. We played quite well, despite our service. On the other side of the net, Evan Patak did a good job and their setter, Donald Suxho, made the difference."
Netherlands Captain Jeroen Trommel: "It was a tough game and the USA played very well. Their serves and blocks were good, but their defence was excellent. I am still happy with the two sets we won and this weekend you could clearly see that we are a typical young team: high peaks and low valleys."
American Head coach Alan Knipe: "It was a completely different match than the first one. We regrouped just in time. Yesterday our setter had to play too far from the net. I have to give a lot of credit to Donald Suxho, whose leadership was decisive. My team showed a lot of character, I am very proud."
American Captain David Lee: "I am extremely proud of the result we got today. This was exactly what we needed. A real battle against a good team. We have a young, talented team and need to play many more matches like this to become better."
