Confident march to the finals for Russia

Russia triumphed at the end making 'one little sport miracle'

Russia made a confident march to the finals of the Wolrd League 2009 defeating Bulgaria in Varna for the second time 3:0 (25:21, 25:22, 25:21). Bigger self esteam and class in the decisive moments made it easier for guests even though 7 000 throats were screaming for Bulgaria. One magnificient crowd did not deserve to see its team failing that way. The victory however was recognized by everyone - Russians took what belong to them.
The picture was almost a carbon copy of friday's match. All expectations of Russia being under pressure did not survive even a set. Bulgaria tried to launch a play of their own but several times fell in rival's trap and lost at the end. All 3 sets were a point-by-point rally untill the 20th point.
Then everything went wrong. Seing that Prandi's boys are not confident enough Russians run over all the hopes of the crowd for anything more than a 0:3 loss.
Mikhaylov was the surpise for Bulgarian defense launching several fire atacks to be a presentation of Russians motivation. Again captain Tetyukhin was the leader and that does it for the match. A small sport miracle happened, Daniele Bagnioli said.
For his colleague Silvano Prandi was only lack of motivation in his team.
