After defeating France 3-1 on Thursday at the Aldo Cantoni Stadium in San Juan, Argentina sits two points clear of its rival in Pool B and only needs a single point from its last match against the French to advance to the Final Six in Belgrade.
With Serbia, which has already qualified for the Final Round as host, leading the Pool, Argentina or France can finish second and still qualify for Belgrade.
There is no chance of Argentina and France finishing tied on points. Argentina can advance with either a win or a 2-3 loss, while France needs a full three points (a 3-0 or 3-1 win) to overtake the South Americans.
"We do not want to qualify by merely winning two sets," said Argentina coach Javier Weber. "For us it is important how the team performs and has grown since the World League started."
The final match will take place at 9:00 p.m. local time and be broadcast live on ESPN+ in America and Channel 7 in Argentina.
If they obtain the elusive point, Argentina would qualify for the World League Final Round for the first time (the team has previously only played in the Final Six as a host).
