Poland and Finland ready for their final clash.

Luczniczka Hall in Bydgoszcz should be full again on Thursday

Poland and Finland will meet for the fourth and the last time in the 2009 FIVB World League on Thursday. The Finns won all of the three previous encounters and should be definitely more determined to win the fourth one. Mauro Berruto’s squad still stays in contention for the Wild Card for Belgrade Finals. This will be given to a second-placed team with the best record. The fourth team of the last European Championships that were held in Russia two years ago, is showing great form in the recent weeks, Finland began their triumphant run by beating Brazil in a tough five-setter. Then the Finns showed their superiority over the Poles, defeating them three times in a row. Berruto attaches much more weight to the World League competition than Polish coach Daniel Castellani. The Argentinean stresses at every occasion that the main goals for his team this season are World Championships Qualification Tournament and European Championships. It doesn’t mean the Poles will pass up Thursday’s match. Polish captain Michal Bakiewicz assures his team will give it’s best to win the last game. Four wins over Venezuela is nothing to boast of . Especially for a team that is ambitious to win medals on the biggest events. There is also another reason the Poles will surely do everything possible to win the game. It will be the best way to thank the unique Polish fans for the support they give the team every single time.
