Playing only for honour and for the people |

Bulgarians hope that they will triuph against Cuba |
Only the honour
stays as a trophey for Bulgaria's nex World League 2009 performances.
Losing to Japan at home and away killed all the chances for going to
the finals. Thus Silvano Prandi's boys have only one goal - to present
a spectacle for the crowd and defend the honour of one of the top teams
in Woilrd volleyball. Cuba is a rival that always has excited the
appetite for high class presentation in Bulgarian players. The matches
will have more than that side though. Bulgaria is anxiously trying to
find the light at the end of the tunnel. The team is not playing well
and is still searching for its new face. As Prandi said - the
breakthrough might happen in any match with great opponent. One step
towards was the victory over Russia in Khabarovsk but it was not
enough. Almost all the players are in the lines. Exception is the
captain Plamen Konstantinov. The wing attacker is a main figure in
reception and still noone can replace him. He is injured and probably
will not be ready to get in the battle with Cuba, but he will be listed
in the team. While his teammates were away in Russia and Japan,
Konstantinov missed the chance to become a Member of Nationa Parliament
on the elections. He will be not the only change in the team for the
Cuba adventure. All hopes pointing every change is for good.
Another reason for all the Bulgarians to be "ready and willing is the
highest guest they will have this weekend in Varna. FIVB president
Jizhong Wei is going to be in the tribunes in Varna. The President of
the country Georgi Parvanov and many more official guests will cheer
for Bulgaria hoping they will present their best.
