SAN JOSE, Calif. (June 27, 2009) – Coaches from both the United States and China are looking for improvements from their teams in their second match on June 27 at the San Jose State University Event Center Arena.
China’s head coach Zhou Jianen would like to see his team improve on serve receive. The United States stung their visitors from the East with seven aces on Friday. China was credited with 89 percent positive receptions and 67 percent excellent.
“We did not have good receptions,†Jianen said through an interpreter. “But the U.S. is not easy to receive.â€
U.S. head coach Alan Knipe would like to see better blocking and fewer service errors.
“I thought we had too many runs of service errors,†Knipe said.
The two teams will play at 7 p.m. PDT.
