Montali reveals World League squad for 2005

March 1, 2005 – Last year’s World League and Olympic Games runner’s up Italy have unveiled their 22-strong squad for the 2005 edition of the World League, which starts May 27.

Coach Gian Paolo Montali has included the usual stars namely Alessandro Fei, Matej Cernic and Luigi Mastrangelo while Marco Meoni returns after a year out. Missing are Andrea Giani, Samuele Papi, who is on a year’s sabbatical, Andrea Sartoretti and Damiano Pippi.

Italy will play Cuba, Bulgaria and France in Pool B.
