FIVB $15 million World
League
Greece well positioned for Finals spot
Lausanne,
Switzerland, June 22 – In a match that had all the elements of
one of their own classic dramas, Greece rose to glory on Sunday
night to knock out the Czech Republic in a tiebreaker thriller
to virtually secure their place among the elite eight national teams who
will contest the final of the $15 million World League in Spain
next month.
Greek coach Stelianos Prosalikas was understandably delighted
after their 3-2 win saying "After our seventh place in the World
Championships and our successful European Championships
qualification in spring this year, this qualification among the
best eight teams of World League is another big success of Greek
volleyball."
