Dalibor Polak is one of the few Czech Republic players who can genuinely be recognised as world-class material.
His efforts in Game 1 of the 2003 World League against France where he was the top scoer of the match with 21 points illustrates the quality of his attacking prowess and how valuable he is to the Czech Republic line up.
At 198cm he is extremely athletic and one of the hardest working members of the team, which is making their debut in the World League.
However, at 29 consistency is a problem troubling Polak. He is reliant on his team and if the Czech Republic team aren't playing well he can't function. Unfortunately, considering the lack of experience in the Czech Republic side, this will probably be the case for much of the season but if Polak can get the chance to shine, he is worth every penny of the admission fee.
