The
exuberant Jakub Novotny has been an inspiration to the
Czech Republic side throughout the World League
Intercontinental Rounds.
The
196cm left handed attacker entered the World League fray
during Week 2 after returning from club play with French
side Poitiers and he immediately stepped up to the
plate.
His
prolific left hand spikes registered nearly every time
for the World League debutants and he proceeded to lead
his team through to an incredible World League Finals
spot. From the Czech Republic's fourth match he
constantly registered amongst the high scorers, either
performing as the best or second best scorer for his
team.
But it
is not only on the scoreboard where you will Novotny's
contribution. On court he is an inspiration to his team
mates and with his tall, agile and unbelievably athletic
frame, Novotny is one of the Czech Republic's stars who
will remain in the spot light for many seasons to come.
