Brazil defeat Germany for the second time in Sao Paulo
Brazil defeat Germany for the second time in the World League this Sunday by 3-1 in the Ibirapuera Hall (Sao Paulo). This time the Brazilian National team changed the starting team. The wing-spiker Nalbert started the match in Giovane's place. Germany made no changes.
The main difference between both teams was the Brazilian blocking (8 points against only one for Germany) in the first set. If the Dutch players made a lot of unforced errors (a total of 10 points), Brazil showed an excellent defensive work and closed the set 25-16.
The history in the second set was similar to what happened yesterday. Except for one detail: this time Germany won 25-23. With a very good serve and block, the Dutch players did not made so many mistakes (six points) and showed much more efficiency in the attack especially with Kuck who scored seven points.
Germany started to have receive problems. Meanwhile Brazil took control of the match once again scoring 10 attack points, six blocks and three aces. The last set was pretty much the same. Brazilian attackers, Nalbert, Giba and Anderson made their duty leading Brazil to the second victory in the World League.
