Brazil on Sunday delivered a faultless display of Volleyball in their second match of Intercontinental Round 2 to defeat Portugal for the second time in two days. The titleholders gave hosts Portugal a 3-0 lesson on both days. Both Portugal and Brazil started with a different six formation than the previous day, and while the Portuguese team displayed a much better service, they lost the impetus in the middle of the first set and Brazil won 25-17. Coach Juan Diaz made some quick substitutes and Portugal was a little faster on the attack at the start of the second set but Brazil stepped up the blocking pressure and put Giovane in charge of the attack. Again the powerful Brazilians took the set 25-17. The Portuguese managed to hold their own in the third set up to the 15 point, only to see Brazil run away again to take the tie.
