BRAZIL WON THE FIRST ONE AGAINST ARGENTINA
Brazil and Argentina did a very equilibrated confront. The Brazilian National team started the match a little bit nervous playing in front 12.500 spectators. Making some attack errors, the brazilian players let Argentina close the first set. After that, the brazilian service started to make some troubles for Argentina's reception. Besides that, the brazilian middle-blocker players did a good job on the block and helped the defense on the contra-attacks.
In the end, Brazil kept the concentration and closed the match: 3 x 1.

This was a very good match between Portugal and Poland, in a hall ful of people very enthusiastic. Portugal won this match against Poland, showing some excelent volleyball and very good attacks.

Portugal lost in Guimaraes in a Hall with people very enthusiastic, who never stop to suport their team. In a very tigh match Portugal made several mistakes and lost this match. The polish team was very good in the blocking.

Spain didn't leave room for the surprise in its debut in the XIII edition of World League and beat Venezuela 3:0. The spaniards used the bigger experience in the tournament and the support of the cheering crowd to start this World League in the best possible way: with a quick victory.

Particularly efficient on serve and well linked on block and defense, French won logically. The most import part of the game was during the second set when yougoslaves was ahead 18-15 just before Antiga, Capet and Granvorka woke up their team (18-18, 22-19).

In spite of an excellent beginning during the first set (19-25), and an excellent defense, the Yougoslavians did not manage to find the right solution afterwards, versus the French players Patin at the set and Marquet at the attack who replaced De Kergret and Capet.
