Macau, China, August 27, 2011 - Thailand vs Japan press conference

Thailand captain Wilavan Apinyapong: “Today we tried our best to get every point. We had many errors and mistakes in every set. We have gained experience from this tournament and we will work hard and improve as a team.”

Japan captain Erika Araki: “Thailand displayed very good defense so we are happy to get the win against them. In the upcoming Asian Championship we will do out best and maintain the standard that we showed in the World Grand Prix Finals.”

Thailand coach Kiattipong Radchatagriengkai: “Thank you all the organizers, sponsors and media for organizing this event. We had a very warm welcome from our fans. We are very happy to be here in the final round. It was a very good experience. Congratulations once again to Japan. Today it was a very good match for our players to learn. I hope the two teams will meet again in the Asian Championship.”

Japan coach Masayoshi Manabe: “I am very happy to play against Thailand today. Although the Thailand players do not have an advantage in height, they performed well both in attack and defense. I look forward to the chance to play against good opponents like Thailand again in the Asian Championship.”
