Russia had everything to lose in this match, says coach Kuzyutkin

Russian's head coach Vladmir Kuzyutkin shares his thoughts on the match

Macau, China, August 26, 2011 - China vs Russia press conference

China captain Wei Qiuyue: “Russia is a powerful and great team, they have an advantage over the net, and as a result we were passive in our attack, blocking and defense. We will continue our effort and give it all in our last game tomorrow.”

Russia captain Maria Borisenko: “I think we had a good game today. Our organization is good and we did a good job today.”

China coach Yu Juemin: “We were playing on the back of two losses. Our young players tried really hard and gave it all against strong Russia team, but today’s game showed there is a gap between the two teams, especially at blocking and attack. Our performance in the third set was more consistent, especially number nine Yang Junjing who put up a good performance in fast attack.”

Russia coach Vladimir Kuzyutkin: “The stake was high for this match, we have everything to lose, so our motivation was really strong. It is very difficult to play against China, but we managed to achieve our goal in winning this game. We have very high discipline, and I am very satisfied with the technical skills shown by my players tonight and in the way we played at the net.”
