Dominican Republic captain, Milagros Cabral de la Cruz: “Winning such a tough game is a great feeling. We got two important points at the beginning of this year’s World Grand Prix. We proved, that we can play very good.”

Dominican Republic coach, Marcos Kwiek: “It was an intensive match, but it’s usual when this two teams meet and we were prepared for this. We have to work hard and get the experience, because next games can be even tougher. I think that after this victory there’s no doubt, that we are well prepared physically”.

Poland captain, Milena Radecka: “I’m really disappointed that we lost. The game was very close, especially in tie-break. But we made two faults at the beginning of decisive set, then we weren’t able to finish any of three match balls. Tie break is a lottery. Today it was Dominican Republic who won it. But the tournament is not finished yet and we will try to do better versus Italy.”

Poland coach, Alojzy Swiderek: “Congratulation to the Dominican Republic team. I hope my players will take the best from this match, because we had some good moments. They saw that they can beat every team, they can go forward – if they will work hard”.
