The game was full of interesting, sometimes dangerous and impressive moments. After losing two matches the Kazakh girls failed to bounce back and as a result the Thai girls were allowed to demonstrated their class.

The best scorer was Drobyshevskaya with 20 points while Sittirak Onuma from Thailand scored 14 points.

The first set started very aggressively. The Kazakh girls played perfect to take the lead 5-1 before Thailand called for a time out. Thanks to Drobyshevskaya her team’s advantage increased to five points and webt further ahead following the first technical timeout, using a superiors block and defense. Apinyapong and Kanthong scored some points but it did not help. The scoreboard was 14-11 but the Thai girls dug deep to cut the margin  and eventually draw even at 16-16 before going on to take the set.

Both teams played excellently at the beginning of the second but Thailand pulled away with a three point advantage before Nassedkina helped Kazakhstan reduce the deficit. However it proved to be in vain as the Asian side stayed ahead. Thanks to Apinyapong the scoreboard moved to 20-14 and while Kazakhstan improved Thailand eventually wrestled back control to move into a 2-0 lead.

After losing two sets Kazakhstan had no way to come back. They started the set three points down and committed several simple errors, gifting Thailand a further lead. Ishimtseva cut the margin to two points but the Thai girls improved their reception, defense and attack and jumped out to a 16-9 lead. Nassedkina helped her team to reduce the score and the Kazakh girls started to cut the margin. But it was too little too late as Thailand held on to pick up the win.
