USA
captain Jennifer Tamas: "
It's so tough to play against Japan. They played so good in defence. I think tonight we can find a place to celebrate. When we go back home, we will work harder and become even better for the next tournament."

USA coach Hugh McCutcheon: "I'm really proud of my team, not only for winning this tournament, but also for the way they were playing. It's a tough match against Japan. We were happy we won. I'm very happy with our performance at the tournament. This is a great start for us, but we clearly know we need to make improvement."
