Japanese captain Erika Araki: "We got upset because of the final result, but we also did good things against Brazil. We have to focus in the mistakes and try to fix them for the match against the Chinese Taipei".

Brazilian captain Fabiana Claudino: "We played really well, with patience and focused. We served and blocked very well and had conciousness in the counter attacks. It is always tough playing against Japan".

Japanese head coach Masayoshi Manabe: "Brazil is the best team in the world. Their receiving worked really well today and then they could play their best".

Brazilian head coach Jose Roberto Guimaraes: "It is always difficult and interesting playing against Japan as they have a particular style, based on high speed and a good defensive system. They also never give up. We had a good advantage in the third set and they almost tied the match".
