Brazil and Poland started their game by battling back and forth, with Brazil 8-4 up before the first TTO. But Poland came back to pull within one point at 8-7. The excellent spikes and blocks by Fabiana, combined with a string of errors by Poland, secured the leading position for Brazil at 16-11 at the second TTO. The dogged Polish side then showed resilience to equalize at 20-20, but Brazil held their nerves to seal the set.

The second set remained tight with Poland taking a slight lead at 8-7 at the first TTO. Despite their vigorous attacks, Brazil were unable to catch up with their opponents due to a sharp increase in errors. When the score was locked at 23-23, Agnieszka Bednarek-Kasza delivered a spike from the right and followed up with a superb block to give Poland the last two points.

The third set also started with a seesaw situation highlighted by a host of spectacular spikes from both sides. Poland entered the second TTO with a 16-15 lead. After the break, the Brazilian girls were hot in attacking and grabbed the lead. When Brazil were 24-20 in front, Jaqueline jumped high from the left flank to smash a spiking winner.

In the fourth set, the Brazilians proved too much for Poland as the star trio of Sheilla, Fabiana and Jaqueline dominated the net. After setting up a 11-6 lead, Brazil never looked back.
