Thai head coach at the press conference

Russia beats Thailand 3-1 (25-17, 25-15, 26-28, 25-19)

Russia Head Coach (Caprara Giovanni)

“Our team did very well in the first two sets. However, our attention went down in the third set. Thailand played very well in attacking.”

“It is true that we still have room for improvement in many aspects. Firstly, we have to improve our teamwork. We also have to work hard on receiving, attacking and setting after defence.”

Russia Team Captain (#7 Natalia Safronova)

“We did not play as well as yesterday’s match in the very beginning. Thailand performed well in the third set, especially in attacking.”

Russia Team Player (#11cEkaterina Gamova)

“There is no difference in attacking when playing against any team. We are fully prepared to play with any players in the China Team.”

Thailand Head Coach (Chanbunchee Suttichai)

“I am very satisfied with our performance today.”

“There is no difference between playing against Russia and China. China is good in attacking while Russia excels in blocking.”

Thailand Team Captain (#14 Patcharee Sangmuang)

“I am quite happy with the result today though we only got one set. We made some mistakes today and we had problems in blocking.”

“Our attack was better in the third set and that’s the reason we won in that set.”
